Each New Day

 Each new day requires
 careful preparation,
 lest one be infected by
 the epidemic of imbecility,
 the decayed culture of
 the common,
 a loud cacophony
 of barking dogs,
 devoid of the reciprocity
 of balanced conversation or 
 the open grace of generosity.
